Every body needs a little bit of TLC from time to time, but there’s no need to pay for extra gym memberships or expensive personal training. Simply Ballet’s body conditioning programs are designed to complement your ballet training, and provide an opportunity for fitness and strengthening outside of traditional gym classes or lifting weights.
Stretch and Strengthen
A combination class focusing on overall body flexibility and strength as required for ballet. Includes floor work and standing exercises set to beautiful music and is a great overall workout. Exercises can be tailored to your own fitness level, and you can easily practice what you learn at home.
Progressing Ballet Technique
This ballet specific program uses fitballs and resistance bands to train “muscle memory” for ballet technique. The program targets the key areas of technique required for ballet – core, turnout, foot and arm strength, and jumping. Most exercises are done in a non-weight bearing state and can be adapted to your own fitness level.
Exercise Room hire
Simply Ballet’s exercise room contains pilates equipment, weights, resistance bands, fitballs, and other equipment you usually find only at a gym or pilates studio. Our Exercise room can be hired for your own personal use, and after an initial induction you can book times that suit you at the fraction of the price of a traditional pilates studio or gym!
