Discovering Repertoire is your opportunity to learn the steps and dances fundamental to 19th Century Classical Ballet.
Showcasing variations from icons such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Paquita and Giselle, students can challenge themselves to achieve the virtuosity usually reserved for professional dancers.
Variations are available for both male and female dancers, and are adaptable to suit a student’s technical ability. The program caters for students 12+ through to Adults and aims to;
Encourage personal self-confidence and growth through dance
Provide young people and adults, with an opportunity of experiencing dance accompanied by music from classical ballets
Provide a means of measuring the acquisition of technical, musical and performance skills in ballet
Aid the development of an appreciation of classical ballet repertoire
Discovering Repertoire is also available to be assessed as an Examination or Class Award
