Looking for something fun, active and a little bit different these school holidays?
Join us for our special School Holiday Tap Party at Simply Ballet!
There’ll be music, movement, rhythm, fun and plenty of opportunities to make some noise as children discover the exciting world of Tap dancing.
This free Tap Taster Class is designed especially for children aged 5-8 years who have never tried Tap before. It will give you them a taste of Tap dance class before they enrol for Term 3.

Children do not need any previous dance experience and do not need to know any Tap steps before they arrive.
Our experienced teachers will guide them through a fun and welcoming introduction to Tap dancing.
No Tap Shoes? No Problem.
There’s no need to purchase Tap shoes before attending the event.
We have a limited selection of children’s Tap shoes and hard-soled shoes available for participants to borrow during the Tap Party, allowing children to experience the sounds and excitement of Tap without any upfront investment.
If your child already owns a pair of hard-soled shoes, they are welcome to wear those.
All they need to bring is plenty of enthusiasm and a willingness to make some noise!

Terms and Conditions
The School Holiday Tap Taster Class is suggested for children aged 5-8 years. Attendance at the School Holiday Tap Party is free of charge. To qualify for the 20% uniform discount, students must attend the School Holiday Tap Party on Friday 17 July 2026 and complete online enrolment in an eligible Term 3 Tap class before 11:59pm on 17 July 2026. The 20% uniform discount applies to required Tap uniform items, including Tap shoes, purchased directly through Simply Ballet. The discount does not apply to items purchased from third-party suppliers, class fees, registration fees, examinations, performances, concert costs, merchandise or any other products or services. The discount is not transferable, redeemable for cash, or valid in conjunction with any other offer, and is available to new tap students only. Offer subject to availability of class places and uniform stock.

The event is designed specifically for children aged 5-8 years.
Our Party will run for 30 minutes, including about 25 minutes of dancing. We take a couple of minutes to introduce ourselves and staff, as well as hand out party bags and your special enrolment offer at the end.

There is no need to purchase Tap shoes before attending the event.
We have a limited selection of children’s Tap shoes and hard-soled shoes available for participants to borrow during the class. Children are also welcome to wear their own hard-soled shoes if they have them.
If your child decides to continue with Tap in Term 3, our special event offer includes 20% off uniform purchases, including Tap shoes purchased through Simply Ballet.
